A handy poster for your classroom, corridor or staff room explaining what a safeguarding lead is and is responsible for. It also leaves a space for you to edit or add to the poster with the name of your safeguarding lead and how best to reach that person should anyone – children, parents or staff – have a concern to report or discuss. This resource is part of our Safeguarding Awareness Week which is taking place from 20-26 May. During this week we are highlighting that everyone has the right to feel safe and encouraging teachers and students alike to discuss the importance of safeguarding and what to do if anyone does have concerns. As part of this week, we’ll be helping share best practice from leaders and experts in the field. Look out for news on a webinar, further resources, free training and much more. This autumn term wall calendar comes in A4, A3 and A2 (spread over 2 A3 sheets for ease of printing) and includes many notable event dates you may be observing or celebrating in your school. The A2 version of the calendar comes with additional space to note down school events including parents’ evenings and open days or, if you’re using it as a department calendar, you can write on your departmental medium-term plans.
